Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Special Edition – C’est la Fête – Daiske Nomura (2020)
VENDU
C’est la Fête (It’s Party Time) is one of the most instantly recognisable scarves by Daiske Nomura. Created for Hermès in 2012 in the 70 cm format, this spectacular design features a skeleton rider on a macabre yet joyful ride, somewhere between vanitas, tattoo, rock and a gothic imagination. We present here a 2020 special edition in the double-sided technique developed by the Maison Hermès.
The scarf offers two different colour readings: khaki on one side, grey on the other, set off by a contrasting orange hand-rolled hem. Double-sided printing allows each side to have its own palette while keeping the extraordinary precision of the drawing. Another colourway of this special edition of C’est la Fête, grey and orange, can also be seen here.

A word from Diane
C’est la Fête is one of those Hermès designs you recognise at once. Daiske Nomura achieves something quite rare: bringing a frankly gothic, contemporary imagination into the Hermès scarf without ever losing the elegance of the Maison. This double-sided special edition of the classic 2012 scarf is particularly successful in this khaki and grey colourway, brought to life by its orange hand-rolled hem. A very fine piece for Nomura enthusiasts and for collectors of unusual Hermès scarves alike.
Daiske Nomura went on to continue his collaboration with the Maison, notably with Chorus Stellarum. His creations are increasingly sought after by collectors today.
